Review title of DreamWa1kerGreat game, crippling bugs/glitches
This game is a great Zombie survival game with the ability to dig, build houses/bases and some traps, garden, craft Many things from basic clothing, armor, weapons to medical supplies & cooking. keep your hunger, thirst & temperature stable. It Can be a very core survival experience, which the console currently lacks with only a few titles to match (if that). but now, to mention the MOST important thing to consider: the bugs, glitches, crashing & 'Deleting of saved data', this unfortunately, and quite literally Breaks the game. since release, and still occuring (current date of review: 04/21/17) people have lost 150+hours of gameplay. this game is being sold, but unfortunately, is still broken. which is the only reason i didn't give a better rating. I HIGHLY suggest keeping an eye on this title for when the gamebreaking glitches are fixed, and 'then' picking up a copy. the game, for what its supposed to be is great, but its not functioning properly yet. stay patient, & happy gaming.

A friend of mine and I have been playing on a private server with a 7 day respawn timer. We both have bases that are nearish (far enough to not see town from base) to a town that has a bunch of really good buildings for looting. I managed to clear out all the key buildings before day 7 and we are now starting our third week, but loot isn't respawning in the vast majority of the containers in town.
I spent a good couple of hours searching this subreddit, browsing the forums, and googling, but have yet to find a definitive explanation of how the loot respawn mechanic works. Is there anyone here (preferably a dev) that can explain exactly how loot respawning works? We're trying to figure out if there's more to it than just the timer, or if possibly we've encountered a bug. Since we don't know the exact mechanics however, we're at a a loss atm.

After unlocking all 43 achievements for the game I thought I might convenience other players seeking to 100% this game by writing this guide of sorts. Most of the achievements in the game are pretty self explanatory but I wanted to write a piece on each one of them either way. The aim of the guide is to function more like a tips and tricks, where I show how I went about unlocking some of the grindier achievements. Personally it took me 180 hours to 100% the game but it could certainly be done faster as I didn't go for achievements during all of my play time.
Other 7DTD Guides:
- Navezgane Map and All Places of Interest.
- Traps and Turrets (Everything a Survivor Needs to Know).
- Tips and Tricks for Scavenging.
- How to Level Up Gun Skills Quick.
- Best Base in Navezgane.
Starting Achievements
The most basic and likely the first achievements you will unlock from just playing the game.
Cause he's the Ax Man
Unlocked by crafting your first stone axe, as explained by the starting guide at the rop right corner of your screen every new game you start.
Good in the sack
Unlocked by placing your first sleeping bag (or alternatively king sized bed, if dropped for you) the crafting recipe for the sleeping bag is shown as a step in the starting tutorial.
Playing Doctor
This achievement is easily unlocked by getting attacked (likely a few hits from a zombie) at which point an icon above your health meter should appear, indicating that you're bleeding out. After which you should apply a bandage (which you will spawn with).
Handy Man
This achievement also unlocks by following the starting guide, craft a wood frame.
The Homestead Act
Start a game in multiplayer mode, and you will spawn with a land claim block, just place it and the achievement will unlock.
Crafting Achievements
The achievements in this category are all self explanatory and will unlock after playing long enough. A tip for unlocking them faster is to spam craft wood frames, which take only a few wood each.
Alexander Bell
Craft 50 items.
Benjamin Franklin
Craft 500 items.
Henry Ford
Craft 1500 items.
Thomas Edison
Craft 5000 items.
Hidden Achievements
These achievements appear as hidden and without description in your personal achievement tab.
On top of the world
Reach the max height of the world. I did this by stacking wooden frames until I reached the top.
Dig Deep
Reach the lowest layer of the world. Easily unlocked by digging as far down as possible. -I personally unlocked this achievement by exiting a freshly made random gen world before it had loaded in properly, when I opened the world the next time the ground wouldn't load in and I fell through the world.
The polar bare club
Unlocked by reaching a temperature that feels like 0°C. This one is kind of tricky as you'll experience hypothermia which will increase your temperature slightly. Easiest way is to bring Chrysanthemum tea into a snowy region, find a small pond and stay in the water for long enough. Drink the tea to lower the temperature faster, eventually you'll get to 0°C and unlock the achievement.
Dirty Larry
Kill 44 zombies (possibly also players, but I don't know) with a 44. Magnum.
Evil Knievel
Break a leg. Jump off a height and you'll easily break a leg.
Player Killing Achievements
These achievements can be unlocked by just playing the game in any open multiplayer servers and killing other people, this might however take exceedingly long. The way I personally unlocked these achievements was by purchasing another copy of the game for my brother and using both of our computers to farm them.
Requires two computers and 7DTD accounts.
My character had good enough stamina regen and low enough food / water consumption to afk all four achievements.
- I did this by equipping a knife, aiming at approximate head level and (in real life) placing a weight on my mouse so that my character would continually stab forward.
- I procceeded by taking my brothers character and placing his sleeping bag right infront of the first character.
- Manually respawning the second character who would get instantly killed at spawn. This method will take a few hours and requires you to manually respawn one account 250 times. Supposively you could set up scripts on respective computers and automatically farm the achievements.
Napoleon
Kill 10 players.
Julius Caesar
Kill 50 players.
The Mortician
Kill 500 zombies.
The Funeral Director
Kill 2500 zombies.
Death Achievements
The latter achievements in this category will more than likely take way too long from just playing regularly. I personally unlocked most of them by pillaring up in the sky and dropping to the ground a couple hundred times.
I unlocked 3/4 of the achievements by:
- Starting a new world without zombies.
- Making a stone axe and bed roll, procceeding to gather enough wood to build a pillar into the sky.
- Crafting wooden frames and stacking myself into the sky, I'm not entierly sure how tall of a pillar I made, you're best off just guessing as you'll easily find out whether it's tall enough or not the first time you drop down.
- Building a small platform atleast wide enough to fit a sleeping bag and setting spawn on top of it.
- I placed a small weight on one of my walking keys (in real life (default: A,S,D,W)) so my character would automatically walk off and die on each respawn.
- I manually respawned my character every time he dropped off until I had unlocked the last achievement. Alternatively if you're savvy you could set up a script to do this for you automatically.
Bite the dust
Die 5 times.
Knock em Dead
Die 25 times.
Your Number's Up
Die 100 times.
Meet Your Maker
Die 500 times.
Wellness Achievements
This set of achievements will take relatively long to unlock but can however be unlocked from regular gameplay. The best way to increase wellness quickly is to eat Meat Stew and drink Golden rod tea, there are a few alternatives that are equally good, which can be seen on their respective stats by clicking them in the inventory. You'll get hungry faster in colder climates and thirstier in warmer climates (or from using painkillers, take care not to use too many at once as that might lower your wellness). After reaching wellness level 150 it will take twice as much food and drink to gain more wellness levels as between level 101 - 150. You can lose wellness from getting hit repeatedly, eating bad foods or drinking coffee. You will also lose wellness periodically from starving or becoming dehydrated. Every time you die you lose 10 hard earned points of wellness, you can never go beneath 70 wellness. A tip if you're struggling to stay alive is to start a zombie free world and grind away at the achievements, taking care not to step on mines, fall from heights or getting too close to bears.
Alive and Kicking
Reached 125 in wellness.
Fit as a Fiddle
Reached 150 in wellness.
Healthy as a Horse
Reached 175 in wellness.
The picture of Good Health
Reached 200 in wellness.
Travel Achievements
These achievements can be unlocked after exceedingly long regular play. You can speed up the process by getting a minibike with a high level engine and enough fuel to ride around the map a couple of times, this will still take a long time as you have to walk and / or drive over 1,000,000 blocks.
It may be worth noting that all four achievements instantly unlocked on my brothers computer when I connected him to my server for the first time, seemingly a bug. May or may not be possible to replicate.
Christopher Columbus
Travel 10 kilometers (10,000 blocks).
Ferdinand Magellan
Travel 50 kilometers (50,000 blocks).
Marco Polo
Travel 250 kilometers (250,000 blocks).
Neil Armstrong
Travel 1000 kilometers (1,000,000 blocks).
Score Achievements
Every zombie kill counts as 1 score, meaning that you'll have to kill a total of 1000 zombies under best circumstance for the last achievement in this category. You will however have to take care not to die too much as every death will remove score in multiples of 5 (ex: 1 death = -5 score, 2 deaths = -10 score .. (previous multiples stack, so dying twice will make you lose 15 score)).
Scavenger
Scored 10 in a single game (10 zombie kills + deaths times 5 and previous deaths).
Adventurer
Scored 50 in a single game (50 zombie kills + deaths times 5 and previous deaths).
Nomad
Scored 250 in a single game (250 zombie kills + deaths times 5 and previous deaths).
Warrior
Scored 500 in a single game (500 zombie kills + deaths times 5 and previous deaths).
Survivalist
Scored 1000 in a single game (1000 zombie kills + deaths times 5 and previous deaths).
Survival Achievements
These achievements have the potential to be very grindy as they will reset every time you die. It might be easier to start a world without zombies and play carefully until the last achievement is unlocked. I would recommend going for the wellness achievements at the same time if you play without zombies.
Brush With Death
Survive for 50 minutes.
Near Death Experience
Survive for 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes).
Cheated Death
Survive for 500 minutes (8 hours and 20 minutes).
Nearly Immortal
Survive for 1250 minutes (20 hours and 50 minutes).
Home Depot Mod -- for 7 Days to Die [Alpha 17.4]
V1.3 by OrbitalBliss
Welcome to Home Depot where, if you can't buy it, we can help you build it.
This mod adds many (most) decorative items already in the game to either your crafting lists, or to the Traders items (at least as a rare Hidden Stash). It also fixes a couple established recipes and Perk walls (and, yes, 'Fixes' is a subjective term). But I did try to leave most things the way the Devs made them.
One of the main purposes of this Mod is to give players meaningful access to assets in the game that otherwise are trapped in Creative Mode.
This mod is item-centric and kept completely within the Configs (aka; It’s a Modlet) so you can drop it on your server and it will deliver to everyone, no fuss no muss. Your players don’t have to do anything.
And, yes, a few of the things this mod does have been done several times before.. but like Home Depot, the Home Depot mod is meant to be one-stop shopping. Besides, I kinda wanted to write my own version of those things from the ground up anyhow as I taught myself how to mod.
I hope this fills out your players gaming experiences. Have fun!!

ADDED TRADER ITEMS
In this section we've added many (if not most) items that exist in game already, but cannot be acquired. These are added to the Traders decorations lists, with Economic Values and Repair Materials added for those items missing them. Also, slightly boosted the number of Decorative items Traders carry, and the number of items the Trader swaps each refresh.
Here’s a list: WallOven, UtilitySink, HungSink, MicrowaveOven, RetroFridge, FridgeStainlessSteel, StoveOld, WashingMachine, TrashCompactor, Mirror, ShowerHead, BathTubEmpty, Toilet01, Toilet02, Toilet03, MedicineCabinet A, MedicineCabinet B, PillCase, Radiator, SchoolDesk, ShoppingBasket, LeatherCouchSofa, BarracksChair, Paintings (x6), CharcoalGrillClosed, CharcoalGrillOpen, GasGrillClosed, GasGrillOpen, BirdBathPlanter, Gurney, HospitalBed, FileCabinetShort, FileCabinetTall, Lockers(x5), HeatVent, HeatVentIndustrial, LaundryBasket, FancyGarbageCan, Dumpster, WaterCoolerBottle, CoolerOpen, SatelliteDish, SatelliteDishSmall, MetalSlide, SwingSet, StationaryBike, Treadmill, WeightBar, BenchPress, Duffle01, WeaponsBagSmall, WeaponsBagLarge, Purse01, Suitcase, LuggageMedium, LuggageBig, Backpack01, Backpack03, AirConditionVentFan, ConditionVentFanDouble, SignRoadStop, SignRoadStop4way, SignRoadSlow, SignRoadPrivate, SignRoadWork, CommercialBlindsTop, CommercialBlindsBottom, ControlPanels(x15)

Nov 18, 2011 Lex and Yacc in Windows 7 - Compile and Run v!p!n 24 comments Hi Friend, I was in search for a long time to get a platform in windows-7 to run lex and Yacc, for academic purposes. Many of my friends also had the same problem and often forced to choose Linux only for merely executing Lex & Yacc programs.!!! Oct 09, 2013 How to Compile & Run LEX / YACC Programs on Windows? If you are installing Ubuntu (or any Linux based OS) on your system either through Virtual Box or by making your system Multi-Bootable, just to execute your Lex & Yacc programs; then you might be wasting your HDD space & your valuable time. You can easily skip this annoying process and run.
ADDED RECIPES
In this section we added recipes for the handyman. A number of reasonably simple items (coffee table) and several related items (most of the cabinets) were added a recipes, many of them requiring Tablesaw and some of them requiring Perk levels.
Here’s a list: CommercialDoor1, CommercialDoor2, CommercialDoor4, HouseFrontDoor1, HouseFrontDoor2, DoorFrameWhite1, DoorFrameWhite2, DoorFrameMetal1, DoorFrameMetal2, CupboardsRed(x1), CabinetsRed(x1), CupboardsOld(x3),CabinetsOld(x3), WindowTrim(x5), DoorTrim(x2), WoodCrown(x2), DecorativePillar(x2), StoreShelving (x3), PewSegment(x3), GarageDoorHouse, Window02, Shutters1Plate, HardenedChestSecure, BookcaseEmpty, CoffeeTable, tableDynamic, WoodCatwalkWedge, MetalPillarTable, Coffin, RoadRailing(x4), ChainLink(x8), CorrugatedMetalPillars(x6), ConcreteBarrier, woodQuarter
FIXES FOR RECIPES AND PERKS (of course 'fix' is subjective)
We tried to keep this to a minimum, but here we tweaked some existing recipes to (in our opinion) make better sense.
- Existing recipes that should have required tablesaw:cntCabinetBottom, cntCupboardCabinetRedTopClosed
- Include Snowberry Seeds Recipe (Locked behind LivingOffTheLand 3), and fixed planted snowberries to grow up into Player harvested Snowberries.
- Include BloodDrawKit Recipe (Locked behind Physician 3)
- Require GreaseMonkey Perk to craft vehicles (not just for vehicles parts)
Each vehicle tied to its appropriate GreaseMonkey Perk level. - Include Bicycle in Trader stock. (rarely and only low level)
- Include Vehicles in Trader Hidden Stash (Starting at Barter 3)
- Removed TVs from recipes. They seem out of place. (They've been added to Trader items)
FIX SOME STRANGE UPGRADES, REPAIRS, & ECONOMIC VALUES
A few items already in the game had either screwy economic values, or repair settings. I think most of these were simply overlooked. We fixed those.
Here’s a list: cntWaterCoolerFull, cntBookcaseFull, decoPicnicTable
ADD NEW ITEMS & INCLUDED RECIPES
In this section we added new items/blocks, which are mostly variations of existing ones, and usually add some functionality to the Player built version. Also, usually, the Player version is locked behind an appropriate Perk wall, and requires the Trader (non-functioning) version to craft. Most things in this section can be easily found by typing ‘Home’ into your crafting search bar.
- Craftable Beds that can relocate. -- The bedroll was not the only respawn point, but was the only one allowed to be picked up. This adds player versions of the Mattress, Small Bed, and Large Bed that can also be picked up. Players still can’t have more than one respawn, just allows them to use the other ‘sleeping bags’ the same way if they so choose. Mostly this allows you to redecorate your home without having to destroy and rebuild your beds.
- Craftable Ovens that function as Campfires. -- This adds a couple of ovens, microwave, and some BBQ Grills to craft and function just like Campfires. In the future I hope to tie the Electric oven and Microwave to the Electrical grid (can’t find a way so far).
- Craftable Sinks and Fountains that function as Murky Water Sources. -- This adds some working plumbing. It also adds a much more difficult crafting item in the ‘Home Filtered Water Cooler’ which requires Purifiers in its recipe and higher Perk levels, but can provide Clean Water.
- Craftable Light Sources. -- There's all kinds of lighting in this game… but they gave us a single fixture to work with. This has been fixed, adding almost every electrical light source back into the game. In the future I’d like to fix illumination levels, but this is impossible at the moment.
Here’s a list: ceilingLight01, ceilingLight02, ceilingLight02Brass, ceilingLight04, ceilingLight05, ceilingLight05Brass, ceilingLight07, ceilingFanLight, wallLight01, sconce1Light, porchLight01, porchLight04, porchLight04Brass, deskLampLight, tableLampLight, endTableLamp, streetLight01, streetLightClassic, industrialLight01, industrialLight02, industrialLight02Red, signShopOpen, signExitLight, workLightPOI
ADD WIRELESS ELECTRICAL RELAYS & SWITCHES
In this section we added Wireless (or rather Hidden wires) electrical options. A ‘Home Wireless Relay Block’ that can be built into structures (and painted if you wish), a ‘Home Wireless Switch Fusebox’ and ‘Home Wireless Switch Electrical Box’ which add those models back in and use them for wireless electrical Switches, and a ‘Home Electrical Pole Top Relay’ for power poles. Some of this is not perfect, and I'd like to move were the Power Lines come “IN” to some of these, but that looks like it's hard baked into the models. Also we matched the power usage, of the few things that cost zero watts, to the 1W cost of normal relays.
THE PAINT DEPARTMENT
In this section we've restored access to a couple of textures that were included with the paint brush but hidden (Orange Drywall & Tar Paper). Also, found a few more textures that work decently enough on blocks and included them (Bookcase, Vent, WashingMachine, & Wet Concrete.

HOW TO INSTALL
Simply download the Home_Depot_v1.0.zip file (or whatever the current release is).
Do NOT just click 'Clone or download' or you'll be downloading all the screenshots and stuff you don't want.
Decompress this ZIP directly into your 7 Days to Die install directory.
Need for speed underground 2 download ps2. If you didn't have a 'Mods' folder, this will create one. You should be ready to go.
Type 'Home' into your crafting search bar to see most of the things added.

GOALS & OBSTACLES
These are the things I'd like to work out for the mod. [What the issues are]
7 Days To Die Item Names
- Better illuminations levels on light fixtures. [These seem hard baked into the models]
- Wireless items with better visible 'Line-In'. [These seem hard baked into the models]
- Wireless Timers. [Might be possible, I just haven't figured it out yet]
- Working Electric Oven and Microwave to need Electricity. [Seems a block can't be both a Workstation and Powered]
- I'd also consider requiring Electricity on Tablesaw and Mixer if it were possible.
- ‘Home Filtered Water Cooler’ to fill on Right Click, like Mirky water sources. [Might be possible, I haven't figured it out]
- Limit most Home furnishings to be easily moveable within 'Land Claim'. [Might be possible, I haven't figured it out]
- Hopefully I can find some more good texture candidates to include with the paintbrush.
VERSION HISTORY
Added in v1.1:
- To Traders: graveStone03, tire, tv, large tv.metalPipe (Corner,Joint,Cap,&Flange), softDucts(Corners,Centered,etc).
- To Recipes: woodWallStud, woodFloorJoist, woodPillar50, woodCNRRound, woodCNRRoundTop,cntCardboardBox, cntLootChestHero.
- To Blocks: For woodPillar50, woodCNRRound, and woodCNRRoundTop the reinforced wooden & metalwood versions needed to be created so they could upgrade through those versions.
- Reduced economic value of Vehicles (so they cost less than 350,000 dukes.)
Added in v1.2:
- To Traders: Bicycle (rarely and low level), Lockers (that were missed before), Control Panels.
- To Recipes: woodQuarter, removed TV and LargeTV recipes (seemed out of place and sold at Traders).
- Other: No new blocks, but removed some stuff we used to fix that they fixed in 17.3. Also, increased Trader swap number and max number to further accomodate the decorative items. And some general code clean-up for more cross-mod compatibility. Added the Read-Me to the Zip file.
Added in v1.3:
- Restored access to a couple of textures that were included with the paint brush but hidden (Orange Drywall & Tar Paper).
- Also, found a few textures that work decently enough on blocks and included them (Bookcase, Vent, WashingMachine, & Wet Concrete).
